INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON SOCIAL SCIENCES AND TURKISH CULTURE:
"DISASTER"
The evolving landscape of global and domestic affairs prompts a scholarly inquiry into the multifaceted implications of disasters. Against this backdrop, there arises a pressing need to engage in critical discourse surrounding the knowledge domain of social scientists on disasters, to scrutinize existing literature, identify lacunae, and share contemporary field research insights with domain experts. The International Symposium on Social Sciences and Turkish Culture provides a platform to deliberate on the role and efficacy of social sciences in addressing and mitigating the impact of disasters.
This symposium, meticulously curated for this purpose, offers a comprehensive framework for examining disasters through the lens of fundamental social science disciplines such as history, sociology, psychology, literature, economics, and administration.
